Press Release: Amplify Horse Racing Announced as Official Mentoring Partner of HRWS

July 22, 2024 – The Horse Racing Women’s Summit (HRWS) has announced Amplify Horse Racing as the official mentoring partner of the HRWS, along with the release of The Amplify Horse Racing Guide to Mentorship. The guide will serve as a resource to support HRWS members and followers on their own journeys as mentors, mentees, and the pursuit of personal and professional development.

“We believe that engaging, elevating and investing in women will transform horse racing,” said Jordyn Egan, HRWS Executive Committee member and Amplify Horse Racing board member. “Our official partnership with Amplify Horse Racing on mentorship and the release of the Guide to Mentorship is a tangible way to advance our three pillars - Engage, Elevate and Invest.”

The guide offers an in-depth look at mentorship, from defining what it is to exploring how mentorship matches form, sharing the value in having a mentor and providing advice for a successful mentorship. Readers can also learn more about getting involved with the Amplify Horse Racing Mentorship Program, launched in 2021.

“There is tremendous synergy between the educational mission of Amplify and outreach initiatives by the HRWS,” said Annise Montplaisir, Executive Director of Amplify Horse Racing. “By developing this amazing guide, Amplify and the HRWS are working together to facilitate meaningful mentoring pathways for women who want to be involved in the Thoroughbred industry, and structure for those who want to share their experiences with newcomers.”

Production of The Amplify Horse Racing Guide to Mentorship is a project funded by HRWS membership dues. Annual dues paid by HRWS members also fund Pay It Forward scholarships and will support important research and projects in the coming year.
