Virtual Horse Racing Hangout: How to Learn to Read Past Performances

Wednesday, July 19, 12:00 pm ET – Virtual Horse Racing Hangout: How to Learn to Read Past Performances

The key to maximizing your racing experience at a racetrack is by understanding how to read past performances. At first glance, past performances might look like lines of jumbled letters and numbers but are actually valuable data regarding each individual horse’s previous races, morning training, human connections, and much, much more.

Our educator of the episode is professional horse player Tommy “The Hammer” Massis. A “horse player” refers to someone who closely studies horse racing and gambles consistently, maybe even in competitions or for a living. Massis once won a type of bet called a Pick-6 on a race card at Hong Kong’s Happy Valley Racetrack for $1,176,978. This episode will teach viewers how to learn to read past performances so that they are no longer a mystery, and instead provide clear information about each horse and their chance in a race. Please note: This episode might not be suitable for all audiences, as we will be discussing topics related to gambling.
