UAE Derby (G2)

The UAE Derby (G2) is a Road to the Kentucky Derby (G1) prep race held outside North America at Meydan Racecourse in Dubai. Established in 2000, the race has varied in distance, surface, and location, now contested at 1,900 meters (about 1 3/16 miles) on dirt. The race awards 200 qualifying points (100-50-25-15-10) and has produced multiple Kentucky Derby starters, including Thunder Snow, Mendelssohn, and Derma Sotogake.
