Santa Anita Derby (G1)

The Santa Anita Derby (G1) is a Kentucky Derby (G1) prep race held at Santa Anita Park. First run in 1935, it is 1 1/8 miles and awards 200 qualifying points (100-50-25-15-10) on the Road to the Kentucky Derby. The race has produced 11 Kentucky Derby winners, including Triple Crown winners Affirmed (1978) and Justify (2018), as well as Sunday Silence, Winning Colors, California Chrome, and Authentic.
