Journalism Internship

The intern will gain experience within the editorial department at BloodHorse, the leading news platform covering horse racing, sales, and breeding. The intern will gain an understanding of adding news releases and placing stories into the company’s content management system before having the opportunities for one or more bylines/credits in published work. Tasks further include periodic on-site participation in editorial coverage at major Kentucky racetracks such as Keeneland and Churchill Downs. This internship is targeted toward those with an interest in pursuing an equine journalism career. The internship is paid ($15/hr) and is over an eight-week period. Specific start date to be mutually agreed upon. Will be based in Lexington, Ky. Open to students currently enrolled in a college or university or who have graduated within one academic year of the start of the internship.
